Our second batch succeeded in experiencing the outbound mobility programme between Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia and Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung. Department of Architecture, UNPAR in collaboration with Department of Architecture , UTHM held a 11 days programme of the Architecture Summer Course Workshop 2019 with the theme of “Multisensory-Based Design Process: Exploration of Transformable Bamboo Structure for Supporting Multisensory Educational Approach”.
The 31st Architectural Students Workshop 2019 is intended to ignite the FOURTH CYCLE of themes in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution with xxx!nyala (read as "the thirty first is NYALA") which was held in IUKL. Our first batch UTHM architecture students were lucky enough to get the opportunity to participate and meet other architecture students from various universities.
It's a case study visit for our first batch students who currently are on their second year during this trip.
Our first ARCHINITE is very special as it was attended delegates from Parahyangan Catholic University as well and was held on 30th Nov with the theme of Retro.
Our first inbound mobility programme with the collaboration between Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia and Parahyangan Catholic University held on 24th Nov – 1st Dec 2018 at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Parit Raja, Batu Pahat, Malaysia.
Two days of Cultural and Heritage Architectural trip to Melaka which covers Morten Malay Village, A Famosa, Stadhuys to expose to Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia and Parahyangan Catholic University delegates on the heritage town trail. River Cruise, Technical Visit to UNESCO World Heritage Buildings around Melaka. This was also a joint program with Politeknik Merlimau, Melaka.
Two days programme held in Savannah Hill Resort focussed on the career route in Architecture Field. Three architects were invited to give talk on the arcitecture career for their future understanding. Students also went for jungle tracking, sports and games to strenghten their mental, physical and emotional besides having good experience on exploring nature and bonding with their classmates.

Students participated in National Eco-Construction Competition known as NECO2017 held at UTM Skudai and won special mention award as Best Sustainable Design. NECO2017 is a competition organised by Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) with new established Sustainable Construction Excellence Centre (MAMPAN) along with Centre for Advanced Construction Technology and Innovation (CACTI) and Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM) in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is a great exposure for our architectural students.
Students went for the fully excellent programme at PD Sanctuary Outdoor Training Camp where they had team building and it's a great exposure for our architectural students.
Students had their one-day trip to The Fortune Dragon Statue which was completed in 2016 at a cost of RM 8 million. It is said to be the world's largest dragon tunnel with a length of 115 meters. The Fortune Dragon snakes its way around the garden and visitors enter through the dragon's mouth and exit near the tail. Inside there are 144 steps up and down.
